Now that Disney’s sequel trilogy is complete, it’s time for a fresh Lego Star Wars game to encompass the entire series. Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been teased since well before the launch of the latest film, and the devs finally unveiled the game in more detail earlier this week on Star Wars Day. And now, out of nowhere, we finally have the Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga release date.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is currently scheduled to launch on October 20, 2020. The date was casually revealed as part of a news roundup on the official Star Wars YouTube – it’s likely the date wasn’t actually meant to be announced in quite this way, so leave a little room in your heart for disappointment if that date shifts. We’ve reached out to publisher Warner Bros. for further information, and will update when we learn more.
As the title implies, this particular Lego Star Wars entry will feature content from all nine numbered films in the series – all built “from the ground up”, as the devs say, so don’t expect any re-used content here. You can jump around however you like, and visit anything from the prequels, OT, or sequels in any order.
Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is coming to PC and will be available on Steam.
The modern Lego series has always been a delightful selection of co-op games, and an even bigger blocky take on the Star Wars saga sounds very nice indeed.
