Scheduled to take place August 4th through 6th at the Moscone Center, GDC Summer will be a unique GDC experience featuring innovative sessions and roundtables alongside high-quality technical talks.
This special event will host a new series of microtalks and fireside chats, as well as a dedicated space for comprehensive ‘career development’ sessions covering topics such as: how to pitch your game, effective communication and business development strategies, and how to land publishers and investors.
The GDC Summer Expo will also host the industry’s leading companies August 5th and 6th on a dynamic show floor, affording attendees an opportunity to see and connect with some of the industry’s leading innovators. Companies interested in exhibiting or sponsoring the event can find out how on the GDC website.
GDC Summer seeks to provide the game development community a chance to come together in a way that hasn’t currently been possible due to COVID-19. Safety remains the GDC organizers’ paramount concern, and the GDC team will continue to monitor the latest information from health officials to ensure a safe and compelling event for everyone at GDC Summer, GDC 2021 and beyond.
(Also, please note that if the organizers of GDC Summer are forced to cancel the event, current paid registrants may request a full refund, minus only credit card processing fees. There will be no cancellation fee in the event that GDC Summer must officially be canceled. Any cancellation fees charged prior to an official cancellation of GDC Summer are non-refundable.)
This convivial event represents a unique opportunity for developers to get up to speed on advances in the field while reconnecting with colleagues in sunny San Francisco. Now that registration is open, don’t wait until next March to drive your career and business forward!
