With 100 billion views in 2019, Minecraft is still the biggest game on YouTube

YouTube Rewind 2019 is here, and that means two things: the YouTube community has something fresh to complain about, and we know have stats for the biggest games on the video platform. This year’s king is Minecraft, which got over 100 billion views on YouTube this year, cementing its success in the view war versus Fortnite.

Behind Minecraft’s 100.2 billion views, Fortnite comes in second place at 60.9 billion. The top five field drops quite a bit from there – we’ve got Grand Theft Auto V at 36.9 billion, Garena Free Fire at 29.9 billion, and Roblox at 29.6 billion. (If you, like me, had never heard of Garena Free Fire before, it’s a mobile battle royale that seems to have achieved most of its popularity in Brazil and Southeast Asia.)

YouTube’s Rewind mini-site reveals the rest of the top ten, though we don’t have specific numbers on these. The remaining five titles are PUBG Mobile, League of Legends, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Brawl Stars, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
