Yakuza Kiwami, Kiwami 2, And Zero Will Be Part Of Xbox Free Play Days This Weekend
They can also be bought for a discount.
The Yakuza franchise was one that, for a long time, seemed to be a little stuck. After some of the older titles had been bombs in the US, the series either was not localized or was so without dubs and in a limited capacity. At once only restricted to the PlayStation ecosystem, it has since gained popularity and branched out to other platforms, with the latest game, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, being heavily marketed alongside Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox consoles. And speaking of Xbox, those with a Xbox One can try out the earlier years of the series canon free of charge.
Three different Yakuza titles will be part of Xbox Free Play Days this weekend as announced by Sega and Microsoft: Yakuza Kiwami, Yakuza Kiwami 2 and Yakuza Zero. The Kiwami games are remakes of the first two titles in the series to give you a good introduction to what it’s all about, and Yakuza Zero is a prequel set in the 1980s. You will need Xbox Live Gold in some capacity to play the games, and there is also a discount if you find yourself in love with them and all three are also on Xbox Game Pass on both Xbox One and PC.
The three Yakuza titles will be part of the promotion until October 4th. Yakuza: Like a Dragon will also launch on November 10th.
